CR/08/23 [Operations Infrastructure Engineer]

• Build, extend, upgrade, and optimize infrastructure-level applications and frameworks to support core infrastructure improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with Technical Operations, QA, release engineering, platform and application engineers to drive infrastructure improvements

• Maintain and extend automation tools and frameworks

• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of operations infrastructure

• Conduct design and code reviews

• Solid design and development experience

• Strong experience in server-side application development with Java

• Experience developing and debugging in C/C++ and Python

• Knowledge of scripting languages (perl, shell)

• Extensive experience building large-scale server applications

• Experience with operating system internals, file systems, distributed systems, or server architectures

• Strong skills in object-oriented API design

• Proficient in SQL and relational database design and schema

• Strong understanding of system-level operations and devices (JVM garbage collection, OS/java memory management, etc)

• Good understanding of network protocols (HTTP, SOAP, XML RPC, etc)

• Experience with highly multi-threaded and data-intensive distributed environments

• Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, dynamic environment
